Obama Won't Last Long

I was emailed the following supposed joke today. Sad as it may seem, and as much as we'd like to believe it WON'T happen, it's inevitable - read it and then comment...

St. Peter is at the Pearly Gates checking up on the people waiting to enter heaven.
He asks the next one in line, "So, who are you, and what did you do on earth?"

The fellow says, "I'm Barack Obama, and I was the first black to be elected president of the United States."

St. Peter says, "The U.S.? A black president? You've got to be kidding me! When did this happen?"

And Obama says, "About twenty minutes ago."

The world, much less the country has not advanced enough yet - and it's doubtful, in my opinion, that it ever will.

For centuries, man has demonstrated very little tolerance for anything different from the norm.

One would like to believe that groups such as the Aryan Nation and the Ku Klux Klan no longer exist, but sadly, they do.

Some things never have and never will change.

The United States simply is not progressive enough to have a "black" (or whatever he is??) political leader.

We barely tolerate GWB - what makes us think we will tolerate or support Obama?

And YOU say...?
